Khadlaj Karus Gold Absolu (8.5/10) - a lovely clean, lightly lemon infused, creamy scent. Projection, silage and longevity are all very impressive - 6-8 hours easily. Way above what I expected, as my experience of Khadlaj fragrances is they smell nice but they tend to underperform. Definitely not the case with Karus Gold Absolu
Was complimented on three separate occasions the first time I wore it.
One of which: I was at work, the weather was extremely hot (36°), we had the internal doors open and fans on in most rooms. Later in the day, two colleagues said they noticed a lovely smell throughout the building, and worked out it was me.
After just one wearing, Karus Gold Absolu has become one of my two signature scents. I like it that much.
I had a sample of the original Bal D'Afrique Absolu. I had seen a lot of influencers speak about Karus Gold Absolute, and as much as I liked the OG, I did not consider that it attracted the price tag that it does.
For the price, Karus Gold Absolu is, in my opinion, the far more superior option. It is so close to the original. I find it very difficult to separate the two.
The Khadlaj version projects well, and longevity is great too. Ticks all the boxes for me. A great fragrance.

Great fragrance, live the scent profile and so similar with a slight twist on Byredo Absolut. Good comms and delivered with good packaging.
