The Mystery of Rasasi Hawas Explained: Why Are There So Many Hawas Perfumes?

The Mystery of Rasasi Hawas Explained: Why Are There So Many Hawas Perfumes?

If you have been following Rasasi Hawas recently, you may have noticed something strange.

Not long ago, most fragrance enthusiasts knew Hawas as one perfume: the famous purple-blue Hawas For Him. Then came Hawas Ice.

Today, the picture is completely different.

There is Hawas Elixir, Hawas Black, Hawas Fire, Hawas Tropical, Hawas London, Hawas Thunder, Hawas Lava Gold, Hawas Exotic, Hawas Verde, Hawas Overdose, Hawas Highness, Hawas Private and many more.

And then comes another question fragrance collectors have started asking:

Why do some genuine Hawas bottles look slightly different from other Hawas bottles?

One bottle may have a different cap. Another may have slightly different printing. The positioning of a logo or security label can change. Box designs evolve.

Naturally, people start asking:

So what exactly is going on? Is one of them fake?

The answer is more complicated than many social-media comparisons suggest.

To understand what is happening, you first need to understand Rasasi itself.

Rasasi Family History

Rasasi is not simply a modern fragrance label created by a large multinational corporation.

It is a family-owned Dubai perfume house, founded in 1979 by Haji Abdul Razzak Kalsekar. Rasasi itself explains that the founder's legacy was carried forward by his six sons, who became central to the development and growth of the business.

Understanding this family structure helps explain something that can otherwise look very confusing from the outside.

The Hawas name has developed into a much wider fragrance universe, with different family-led production and distribution channels creating their own additions to the collection.

So What Exactly Is the “Hawas Mystery”?

The Hawas range is not as simple as one production line producing every Hawas perfume in exactly the same bottle style.

Different branches of the family have developed and supplied different Hawas releases.

At the same time, several of the brothers also share some of the established Hawas products, particularly the core Hawas For Him and Hawas Ice lines.

This means two authentic Hawas bottles can sometimes originate through different Rasasi family supply channels.

And that can result in small differences in presentation.

Why Can Two Genuine Hawas Ice Bottles Look Different?

Hawas Ice is probably the fragrance where this issue creates the most confusion.

Imagine buying Hawas Ice today and comparing it with a bottle purchased six months or a year earlier.

You might notice that the printing or engraving isn't positioned exactly the same. The glass finishing might not appear identical. Certain production marking could have positioned differently.

Social media often reduces authenticity checks to comparisons such as:

“My cap doesn't look like his cap.”

“My writing is positioned two millimetres lower.”

“My bottle has this marking and yours doesn't.”

Therefore the immediate conclusion is sometimes:

“Yours must be fake.”

That conclusion is far too simplistic.

Packaging can change between production runs. Components can be updated. Different production periods may use slightly altered presentation. Products intended for different markets can also carry differences.

With Hawas, collectors need to take into account different production batches, evolving packaging and different Rasasi family supply channels.

A bottle should therefore not be declared counterfeit simply because one cosmetic detail differs from another bottle purchased previously.

Hawas Thunder, Lava Gold, Exotic and Glitz Help Explain the Confusion

An interesting example can be found in a group of newer Hawas releases including Hawas Thunder, Hawas Lava Gold, Hawas Exotic.

These fragrances share recognisable elements of presentation and design.

This becomes particularly interesting when comparing certain production batches of Hawas Ice supplied through the same channel.

The bottle construction and styling can closely follow the same design language seen on Hawas Thunder and the other fragrances from that range.

So if you compare that Hawas Ice with a Hawas Ice obtained through another Rasasi supply channel, some details may not be identical.

Put two bottles side by side and somebody unfamiliar with the supply chain may immediately become suspicious.

That difference alone does not establish that either bottle is counterfeit.

It tells us that Hawas can no longer be understood as one bottle being reproduced in precisely one format forever.

From Two Hawas Fragrances to an Entire Hawas Universe

To understand just how dramatically Hawas has evolved, look at the timeline.

2015: Where Hawas Began

  • Hawas for Him
  • Hawas for Her

For years, these were the fragrances most people associated with the Hawas name.

Then came the fragrance that helped trigger the modern Hawas explosion.

2023

  • Hawas Ice

Hawas Ice became one of the most recognisable additions to the collection and helped introduce a new generation of customers to Rasasi Hawas.

But what happened next was on a completely different scale.

2024

  • Hawas Black
  • Hawas Elixir

The family was beginning to expand but 2025 was when Hawas really started developing into something much bigger than a conventional perfume line.

2025: The Hawas Expansion Begins

  • Hawas Fire
  • Hawas Tropical
  • Hawas Atlantis
  • Hawas Kobra
  • Hawas Malibu
  • Hawas For Her Éclat
  • Hawas Diva
  • Hawas Viper
  • Hawas Verde
  • Hawas Pink
  • Hawas Venom

That is 11 Hawas fragrances in a single year.

And then came 2026.

2026: The Hawas Explosion

As of September 2026, the Hawas family has expanded at an extraordinary pace, with 23 releases on our current list for 2026 alone:

  • Hawas London
  • Hawas Thunder
  • Hawas Lava Gold
  • Hawas Exotic
  • Hawas Overdose
  • Hawas Highness
  • Hawas Glitz
  • Hawas Reina
  • Hawas Sapphire
  • Hawas Chrome
  • Hawas Addiction
  • Hawas Rouge
  • Hawas Nautilus
  • Hawas Gold Digger
  • Hawas La Mer
  • Hawas Private Dulce
  • Hawas Private Terra
  • Hawas Private Luceo
  • Hawas Love
  • Hawas Dreams
  • Hawas Alpha
  • Hawas Majestic
  • Hawas Boa

And there are more on the way.

Put everything together and, based on the Hawas lines known to us so far, the collection now stands at 39 Hawas fragrances.

But the most remarkable figure is not 39.

It is the speed at which Hawas is growing.

The Hawas collection is no longer expanding once every few years.

New Hawas fragrances are now appearing almost every month and sometimes several within a very short period.

Indeed, Rasasi introduced the three  fragrance Hawas Private collection: Luceo, Terra and Dulce only at the end of August 2026.

By the time you read this article, the number may already have changed.

Hawas Is Becoming a Brand Within a Brand

This is perhaps the easiest way to understand what is happening.

Hawas no longer behaves like a conventional perfume followed by two or three flankers.

It increasingly resembles a fragrance brand within Rasasi itself.

There are fresh aquatics. Darker fragrances. Gourmands. Women's releases. Unisex releases. Tropical interpretations. More premium-looking extensions. Hawas Private now introduces an entire sub-collection within the Hawas name.

Perhaps the most interesting part of this timeline is that we are writing it while the Hawas story is still developing.

There are more Hawas fragrances on the way.

By the time you read this article in the future, the number may already be higher than 39.

That is how quickly the Rasasi Hawas universe is currently moving.

So when somebody asks:

“How many Rasasi Hawas perfumes are there?”

The most accurate answer may simply be:

“More than there were last month.”

What About the Online “Family Split” Theories?

This deserves clarification because fragrance forums and social media have recently begun creating elaborate maps attempting to assign individual Hawas fragrances to different branches of the Kalsekar family.

Some discussions go even further and describe an alleged family disagreement or “feud” behind the different Hawas ranges.

At the moment, we would not present those claims as established fact.

What can be verified publicly is that Rasasi is a multigenerational family company, that different members of the Kalsekar family hold roles within the wider perfume business, and that different Rasasi-led channels currently present different Hawas selections.

Until Rasasi itself publicly explains the internal structure in greater detail, collectors should be cautious about treating social media family trees as official corporate information.

Does a Different Smell Mean Your Hawas Is Fake?

Not automatically.

This is another common question:

“My new Hawas doesn't smell exactly like my previous bottle. Have I bought a fake?”

Scent comparison can be useful, particularly when a perfume smells completely wrong. But small differences are not enough on their own to establish that a bottle is counterfeit.

Different production batches can present somewhat differently. A freshly manufactured fragrance and a bottle that has been stored for a considerable period may not be experienced in exactly the same way.

Temperature, storage conditions, age and individual perception can also influence the comparison.

Even Rasasi's own Hawas Ice customer reviews contain owners reporting very different experiences of longevity despite saying their bottles successfully authenticated through Rasasi's system.

Performance is therefore not a reliable authentication test on its own.

The source of the bottle and its security verification matter considerably more.

How to Check Whether Your Rasasi Hawas Is Authentic

Instead of relying exclusively on TikTok bottle comparisons, use Rasasi's own authentication process where the product carries the current security system.

Rasasi instructs customers to:

  1. Reveal the security code on the product packaging by scratching.
  2. Scan its QR code with a smartphone.
  3. Review the verification result, which can indicate a valid product, a repeated scan or a potentially fake product.

Authentication label appearance can itself evolve between production periods, so the instructions accompanying the individual product should be followed.

A valid verification result from Rasasi's own system, combined with a trustworthy supply source, carries far more weight than somebody online declaring a bottle fake because one piece of typography looks slightly different.

Where You Buy Hawas Matters

Counterfeit perfume exists, and the popularity of Hawas naturally makes authenticity an important concern.

That is precisely why provenance matters.

At Emirates Oud, we have deliberately built relationships across multiple established Rasasi supply channels rather than depending on unknown grey-market stock.

This is also why our Hawas collection can include both familiar fragrances such as Hawas For Him and Hawas Ice and newer or harder-to-find releases from elsewhere in the expanding family, including products such as Thunder, Chrome, Nautilus, Verde, Gold Digger, Sapphire and the Hawas Private collection.

It also means customers may occasionally encounter legitimate differences in presentation between products supplied through different channels or at different times.

We would rather explain those differences than pretend they do not exist.

The Hawas Mystery Is Not Simply a Story About Fake Perfume

The explosion of the Hawas collection has understandably created confusion.

Customers see dozens of Hawas names.

Collectors see different packaging.

Social media compares one batch against another.

One bottle has a slightly different cap. Another has different printing. Another comes through a different market.

And suddenly everyone starts asking:

"Which Hawas is genuine?"

But that may be the wrong question.

The more useful questions are:

Where did this bottle come from? Is the seller trustworthy? Does the product authenticate correctly?

Rasasi Hawas is no longer one purple bottle.

It has become an enormous and rapidly evolving fragrance universe one that began with two fragrances in 2015 and has expanded dramatically over the last few years.

And perhaps that is the real Hawas mystery.

Not that there are so many fakes.

But that the collection itself has grown so quickly that the fragrance world is still trying to keep up.
